The Faculty of Theology and Islamic Studies of Mazandaran University was established in December 2018 after the separation from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Before becoming independent, this school had started its educational activity as an educational group in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences since 1999 by recruiting students in the field of theology and Islamic studies with a focus on Quranic and Hadith sciences. The training of experienced experts in the field of human sciences in order to provide scientific services in educational, cultural and research institutions as well as the development and dissemination of pure religious knowledge in line with the goals of the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the goals of establishing this school. This school is now operating in bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in an educational space of 1260 square meters as the first and only school of theology and Islamic studies in the northern region of the country. Current tendencies in this university are: The most important plan of the management of the university and college for the next five years is to attract academic staff and launch new trends, as well as in the construction sector, to try to develop the physical space and build a new building for the college of theology and Islamic studies.
Introduction of Educational Groups
The Department of Quranic and Hadith Sciences of Mazandaran University was formed in 1378 and the undergraduate level of this department has been launched. It has accepted master's degree students since 1386 and doctoral students since 1391. Currently, this field in Mazandaran University has one major (Quran and Hadith Sciences) in all three stages, which accepts students in day, evening, campus, and international courses.

The field of Islamic philosophy and theology at Mazandaran University is held in two consecutive bachelor's (from February 2016 to present) and master's degree (from October 2018 to present). Currently, the group has three full-time faculty members who, with the help of a number of professors, are faithfully serving the students and the native-Islamic philosophical culture. At the undergraduate level, all courses are implemented according to the plan of the Higher Education Planning Office of the Ministry of Science and within 4 years (7 to 8 academic semesters) in about 139 units. Currently, the length of each academic semester is 16 weeks and the teaching time of each theoretical unit is one hour and thirty minutes per week. In the non-continuous master's level, 28 educational units are offered to students during 3 academic semesters. The research course (in 4 units) is dedicated to writing a thesis. The specialized courses of this field of study include the courses of old logic, new logic, old kalam, new kalam, history of Islamic philosophy, history of western philosophy and most importantly Islamic philosophy in the trends of the philosophy of Masha, the philosophy of enlightenment and transcendental wisdom.

1. Familiarization of students with the history and tradition of Iranian-Islamic philosophical-theological thinking and at the level of graduate education, efforts to revive the intellectual heritage and theories of Muslim thinkers
2. Education and training of intelligent, questioning, critical and creative students in the field of philosophical and religious issues
3. The development of necessary skills in students to apply philosophy in personal and social life, despite the holding of numerous workshops and meetings.
4. Training of experts to teach philosophy and logic courses and training of facilitators of thinking workshops for children and teenagers
5. Familiarizing students with new branches of philosophy and providing the possibility of interdisciplinary research and studies
6. Trying to get the maximum number of students to pass the master's and doctorate exams according to the exam resources

The formation and mission of the Islamic Education Group The victory of the glorious Islamic revolution in Bahman 1978, followed by the establishment of the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran under the leadership of Imam Rahal (RA) based on the Holy Quran, the religion of Islam and religious values, is one of the milestones in the history of revolutions in the world, the effects of which continue It was and is evident in all parts of the world. On the other hand, higher education in any country is one of the basic pillars of growth and progress in any society. The order to form the headquarters of the Cultural Revolution was issued by Imam Rahel (RA) after the closing of the universities on 23/3/1980, and in the next step, the order to form the Cultural Revolution Council was issued on 19/9/1984. According to the order of the Imam (RA), the headquarters of the Cultural Revolution was required to focus its activities on several axes in dealing with academic issues: The Department of Islamic Studies is one of the educational departments and a subset of the Faculty of Theology of the university. The mission of this group is to create insight and improve the level of information at different levels and to create commitment and motivation towards observing Islamic values and preserving the achievements of the Islamic Revolution by providing the necessary training in the form of general Islamic education courses, counseling and the above activities in the field of education. And it is the students' research. According to paragraph 9 of article 3 of the resolution of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution 322-324, currently, the supervision of the quality of Islamic education courses and the evaluation of education groups is under the responsibility of the representative body of the Supreme Leader in universities (deputy for office affairs, professors and missionaries). And according to the approval of the 249th meeting dated 11/4/1991of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, the Department of Islamic Education will perform its duties under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor of Education in each university. two. Educational Department of Islamic Studies of Mazandaran University For many years, the Department of Islamic Studies of Mazandaran University, as one of the educational groups, has been in charge of providing Islamic studies courses for all fields of study with the help of expert professors in the field of Islamic sciences. With the efforts of respected members and directors of different courses, respected officials of the university and the Ministry of Ataf, the Department of Islamic Studies of Mazandaran University has been able to receive permission to recruit students in the master's degree program of theoretical foundations of Islam and Quran and Hadith schools since 2014. He has held a successful course in two majors.
