About us
The law training group started working in February 1992 AH with the presence of the then Attorney General of the country as one of the training groups under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Mazandaran University with the admission of 40 students. In line with the development of educational activities and training of experts, this faculty expanded its educational activities with the permission of the Council for the Development of Higher Education in the master's courses of criminal law and criminology in 1997 and private law in 2000 by accepting students. In 2004, with the separation of the Law and Political Science Education Department from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, a new faculty was established as the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in the organizational structure of Mazandaran University and in line with the development and expansion of educational services for the youth of this region and region. Training of specialized forces needed by society for advanced courses Public law in 2018, master's degree in international law in 2013, master's degree in environmental law in 2015, and master's degree in human rights were launched in 2017 with the permission of the Council for the Development of Higher Education. In continuation of the activity of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, after receiving permission from the Higher Education Development Council, doctoral courses in private law in 1386, criminal law and criminology in 1390, and public law in 1398 began their educational activities by accepting students. The political science educational group, as one of the educational groups of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, started its activity in 1380 by accepting students for the master's course, and in 1384, students were accepted for the political science master's course. The master's course in international relations was launched in 2009 and the master's course in political thought in Islam was launched in 2013. In 2014, permission was obtained from the Council for the Development of Higher Education to start a political science doctoral course with a focus on Iranian issues, and students were accepted. The educational groups of law and political science were separated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2014 and became an independent faculty under the title "Faculty of Law and Political Science". In 2010, the private law department was separated from the law department, and now three educational departments of law, political science and private law are working in the Faculty of Law and Political Science. In 2016, this school was chosen by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as the center of law in 2 regions of the country (Mazandaran, Golestan, Gilan provinces) in order to hold the scientific Olympiad for students.
