This faculty was established in 1970 in collaboration with Harvard University in order to train specialized human resources in the fields of economics, accounting and finance, social economy and labor law, and under the name "High School of Economic and Social Sciences" as a non-profit institution in Babolsar Grand Hotel (the current central building of Mazandaran University) was established. In 1355, the Higher School of Economic and Social Sciences continued to operate as a higher education institution affiliated to the Ministry of Culture, Science and Higher Education.
